Lucille Frost is a visual artist and cultural administrator who has spent the last decade building her practice in Edmonton Alberta. Her Mission is to establish her creative practice and small business with the goal of becoming a sustainably self employed producer of creative and cultural capital for communities.
Born in Edmonton and raised in Lethbridge, Alberta, Lucille identifies her home with the various landscapes throughout her native province and her relationship to this distinct natural beauty has continually been a source of inspiration within her artistic practice.
Lucille demonstrated an interest in the arts at a young age, attending a performing arts school and pursuing several classes as a child at the Southern Alberta Art Gallery. She attended High School at Victoria School for the Arts and graduated from the Visual Art International Baccalaureate program in 2008. During her undergraduate studies at the University of Alberta she interned with The Works International Visual Arts Society in the Works to Work Program as a member of the Curatorial team. In 2012 Lucille graduated with her Bachelor of Art and Design and continued to build her professional capacities. She participated in a Youth Leadership workshop at the Banff Centre for the Arts in 2014 and graduated from the Arts and Cultural Management Diploma program in 2016. Lucille has since acted in a variety of roles with non profit boards and continues to volunteer within the Edmonton visual arts community.
